About AFRICULTURES festival

Entering its 14th-year, Africultures Festival is Australia’s largest African festival showcasing the many vibrant cultures of the African continent. This one-day festival draws thousands of people from across Australia to immerse in the culture, food, music and arts of Africa. From bustling market stalls selling arts and fashion to a vibrant line up of dancers and musicians to delicious food from around Africa, this festival is a jam-packed day full of fun for the whole family.

Mobile charging kiosk

There are multiple mobile phone charging stations onsite for hire. To charge your phone, rent a portable power bank and continue to use your phone at the Africultures Festival. Once your phone is charged, simply return the power bank to any of these locations.

Getting to Africultures Festival

How to get to Cathy Freeman Park, Sydney Olympic Park
Ticket holders are encouraged to leave the car at home and catch public transport to the festival. 
Train - Cathy Freeman Park is a short walk from Olympic Park Train Station
Parking - Discounted parking of $18 for all day parking in P1 Parking Station. You must validate your ticket at our Information Stall before returning to the car park. Discount not available for prebooked parking.

  • Please stay home if you are unwell, have a cough, fever, sore throat, runny nose, fatigue, shortness of breath or any other flu-like symptoms. Please also stay home if you are waiting on the outcome of a COVID19 test.
